Control Change
Toggle stomps — drive, delay, reverb, boost — with on/off, fixed, momentary or a hold-to-sweep Sweep mode. The key even shows its state — and with two-way MIDI feedback it follows your DAW.
Program Change
Switch Neural DSP presets and tones instantly. One program per key, with a name.
Bank Up / Down
Scroll presets up and down — or switch to Control Change mode to step a CC-Absolute value up and down. Pair two keys to a bank; they share a counter and show the current value.
Note
Fire MIDI notes — for controls that learn to notes, tap-tempo, or triggering things in your DAW.
Dials (Stream Deck +)
Ride a parameter by hand — gain, mix, wah — on a rotary dial, with a live value on the touch strip. Absolute, or relative for endless encoders so DAW knobs never jump.

Is it really free?
Yes — completely free. No trial, no paywall, no account.
Does it work with my Neural DSP plugin?
Yes. Every Neural DSP plugin takes MIDI: MIDI-Learn its footswitches and parameters, and recall presets with Program Change. MIDIRover sends the MIDI, you map it.
Windows and Mac?
Both. On macOS the plugin creates its own virtual MIDI port (no setup); on Windows you use the free loopMIDI.
Which Stream Deck app version do I need?
Stream Deck 7.1 or later. MIDIRover uses the current plugin runtime, so update the Stream Deck app from Elgato if you're on an older version — it won't load below 7.1.
Do I need loopMIDI / a virtual MIDI port?
On Windows, yes — install the free loopMIDI and create one port; it's the virtual cable between MIDIRover and your plugin. On macOS you don't — MIDIRover makes its own port automatically.
No Stream Deck +? Can I still sweep a parameter like an expression pedal?
Yes. Set a Control Change action to Sweep mode: hold the key and the value sweeps (with a live on-key slider or knob). A dial is nicer, but any Stream Deck works.
Which Stream Deck models?
All of them — Mini, MK.2, XL, Neo, Stream Deck +, the Pedal, and Mobile.
Can I use it with other plugins or a DAW?
Absolutely. Anything that accepts MIDI CC, Program Change or Note works — other amp sims, synths, or DAW transport.
Can MIDIRover mirror my DAW's state?
Yes — turn on MIDI feedback: pick a MIDI input in the plugin and toggle lights, sweep keys and dial values follow your DAW. The DAW feedback sync guide walks through the setup.
Does MIDIRover support MIDI 2.0?
MIDIRover uses MIDI 1.0 — the standard Neural DSP and every DAW expect — so everything maps and works today. MIDI 2.0 is backward-compatible, so MIDIRover keeps working alongside it; you don't need it for stomps, presets or parameter sweeps.
